Due to the actions of the 2008 Board of Governors in February, the website for the Point Yacht Club has been taken down. It would appear that the Board did not want its membership to know what was happening at Board meetings by seeing the minutes, or know when unannounced, secret meetings were being held, or know what committees were doing and with whom, or have the club bylaws easily available, or know the financial details of the club's money, or otherwise be informed members. As protest, the Webmaster resigned. That not being enough for the Board, they violated and defied at least 15 club bylaws and Alabama statutes to permanently terminate the ex-Webmaster's membership in the club.
